RFID checkout

Together with Sintecs we are currently working for Nedap to create an admin environment for a new type of checkouts using RFID. This is a new but effective way to raise inventory accuracy and prevent theft in retail stores.

Our small part in this project involved working on the software necessary during the initial installation and maintenance of the checkout counters. The admin can choose their preferences during installation and enter the type of checkout. When the checkout is up and running, it is possible to keep track of sales using a log file. This contains information like scanned and sold products, but also monitors performance metrics like internet connection and memory usage. After installing we also offer a quick solution to setting up multiple checkouts. The first installed machine offers an installation file with all chosen settings, which can then be copied over to other machines.
